MALDON & TIPTREE exthe competition af- ter a defeat to Witham Town on a sweltering afternoon.
After an opening 30 minutes which the Jammers just about shaded, Maldon won a free-kick about 25 yards out which Andre Hasanally took, but the keeper was equal to the task and Witham cleared the danger.
The home side took the lead thanks to Jeffrey Cobblah who lifted his shot over Tom Middlehurst to give the hosts the lead.
Ronnie Bates doubled Witham’s lead after 64 minutes. Cobblah completed another miserable day at the office for Maldon with five minutes left.
