GOALS from Sam Burns and Owen Robinson saw Bootle defeat Stockton Town to secure their place in the next round of the FA Trophy.
What they may have feared could have been a difficult afternoon turned out to be a relatively routine day for the visitors, who opened the scoring in the 41st minute, giving themselves a half-time lead through Burns’ simple tap in.
Bootle then had the job of keeping hold of their lead, and they did just that, before finding the back of the net and sealing all progression in the second-half.
