■ CONSETT edged through this tie on penalties, but could have had the game won in a dominant first half.
They took the lead after five minutes when skipper Marc Costello volleyed home.
They then missed three good chances through Eddie Thomas, Brendon Daniels and Matty Todd. Aaron Brown hit a post as Bishops had a good spell.
Five minutes before half-time Todd was hauled down in the box, but Alfie Gordon rescued Bishops, saving Ben Ramsey’s penalty.
Bishops’ top scorer Dean Thexton scored in the 50th minute to level the tie.
