■ DESPITE taking the lead just 16 minutes in, Biggleswade Town failed to make it a statement of intent as they were knocked out by Hitchin.
The visitors from Hertfordshire ended the first half in fine fashion to restore parity. Josh Jackman was the man to level things up in the 43rd minute, pinging home a screamer to sway the momentum.
