■ MALVERN Town secured their first-ever win in the FA Trophy with a commanding victory over Loughborough Students at the Langland Staidum.
Piers Walton got the hosts off to a flying start, slotting home after just three minutes. Ben Baxter doubled the lead in the ninth minute, and Malvern’s dominance was underlined when captain Joe Tumpelty made it 3-0 inside 20 minutes.
Loughborough briefly threatened a comeback, pulling one back after 40 minutes, but Seth Locke’s vital save shortly after denied them a second. Ryan Brunt capitalised moments later...
