■NATHAN Hogan put the Tanners ahead after 16 minutes, chesting down the ball on the edge of the box before firing past the visitors’ keeper.
There was a lengthy stoppage midway through the opening half after the referee pulled up injured and had to be replaced.
Hogan doubled the hosts’ lead from the penalty spot on 40 minutes after Anas Igozouln was tripped in the box. Vale’s Omarr Lawson hit a post before Seb Tauta-Caballero added a third goal for Tanners after 62 minutes after the visitors failed to clear a cross from Lukas Franzen-Jones.
