■ WINCHESTER City achieved an excellent win, beating a Frome Town team who have made a bright start to the season, thanks to a goal in each half.
Frome started brightly and in the early stages, goalkeeper Tommy Scott had to make one good save.
But it was Winchester who took the lead in the 18th minute when Bradley Waters followed up to score after Conor Lynch’s initial shot was saved, and went into the half-time interval with a 1-0 lead. Winchester scored the all-important second goal nine minutes into the second half when Waters set up Matty Neale.
