■ GOALS from Connor Shanks and Tom Corner sent Bradford Park Avenue through to the next round of the competition.
The first half was evenly balanced, with both sides creating opportunities but failing to convert. Consett threatened early on when a fourth-minute effort was safely gathered by the Bradford goalkeeper, while Avenue carved out chances of their own without reward.
The breakthrough came six minutes after the restart as a corner found Shanks, who finished smartly to put the visitors in front.
