■ GRAYS Athletic caused an upset against high-flying Felixstowe & Walton with a fine defensive display and a combative midfield performance by Sid Walker and Harry Hope that the visitors just couldn’t break down.
Indeed, the Seasiders had their keeper, Harry Wright to thank for three fine saves over the afternoon that kept the scoreline reasonable; the best a flying tip round a post from a Sam Bantick curling shot.
