STEP 3 Basingstoke made the most of home advantage as they knocked out Shaftesbury.
The visitors had already downed Bristol Manor Farm 2-0 away from home and Falmouth 4-1 on penalties after an initial 2-2 draw. Unfortunately for the travelling Rockies, thoughts around more cup romance were quickly disregarded shortly after the first whistle. In just the third minute, club captain Billy Upton led by example and volleyed home from an accurate corner.
