■CHATHAM booked their place in the first round of the FA Trophy after a tense goalless draw against Needham Market, eventually triumphing in a nail-biting dramatic penalty shootout.
Chances were few and far between during the 90 minutes, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut opportunities in a tightly contested affair.
Goalkeeper Nathan Harvey proved to be the hero of the afternoon however, producing two crucial saves in the shootout – including a fine decisive stop that sealed the visitors’ path.
