■ POOLE struck late to get through to the next round at Yate’s expense.
Poole started strongly and Selim Saied hit the crossbar in the 16th minute. This seemed to spur Yate into action – Oli Jenkins’ shot hit the woodwork and then Rex Mannings saw his effort turned on the post by Poole goalkeeper Adam Parkes.
The second half saw few chances but Joshua McCormick nearly headed past his own goalkeeper before Yate took the lead through James Tyalor. Three minutes later Harvey Slade’s speculative effort from distance levelled the scores.
