FC UNITED left it late with Adam Le Fondre scoring a last-minute winner to break Bamber Bridge hearts.
It took a quarter of an hour for the first sight on goal, Charlie Munro forcing a save from visiting keeper Aidan Dowling.
As the half wore on, Brig came into the game and had a couple of chances, Chris Churchman firing well wide and Billy Bould seeing a shot deflected into the arms of Dan Atherton.
In truth both teams were looking to attack but neither had a cutting edge.
