CHESHUNT progressed through to the second round of the FA Trophy courtesy of a narrow victory over Wingate & Finchley in a match switched to Theo-balds Lane.
Moments after Wingate struck the post on the half-hour mark via Ada Okorogheye, George Nunn broke the deadlock and gave the Ambers the lead, finishing off a swift, Matthias Fanimo-led move.
Cheshunt went into the break a goal ahead, but it was Wingate & Finchley who made the brighter start to the second-half, forcing corners and pressuring the hosts.
