When will the third round proper take place?
All 32 ties are pencilled in for the weekend of Saturday 13 December 2025 – now less than a month away and edging ever closer on the calendar.
What is the prize fund for this stage?
Winning clubs will pocket £4,500 from the prize fund, while even the losing sides take home £1,250 – a welcome financial lift for teams across the Non-League pyramid.
What are some of the standout ties to look out for?
There are plenty of all–National League match-ups, including Gateshead vs Morecambe – with the Shrimps still reliving the pain of that earlier 5-2 league defeat — as well as Southend United vs Truro City, Boreham Wood vs Brackley Town and more.
Meanwhile, a handful of lower-league sides have been handed some tasty ties. Harborough Town will host National League high-flyers Carlisle United, and after shocking Chester to reach the next round on Saturday, Clitheroe will also be at home to a fifth-tier title chaser in York City.
Leek Town, who upset Scarborough Athletic courtesy of Louis Potts’ composed finish, have been handed another National League North test – this time with a trip to Southport.
