BASINGSTOKE maintained their unbeaten home run when a goal in each half gave them a comfortable win. Biggleswade were a threat all game, with winger Greg Kaziboni a constant thorn in Basingstoke’s side. But they couldn’t break through a strong rearguard and only managed one shot on target. Basingstoke tested Waders keeper Liam Gooch early and often, Ben Wright and Callum Bunting both forcing early saves.
The hosts broke the deadlock on 11 minutes through Sam Smart, who benefitted from a mistake by Gooch to tap into an empty net. ...
