END OF AN ERA AT BUCKS

MARTIN MCINTOSH accepts he had probably been in charge of Buxton too long after the secondlongest managerial reign in the club’s history came to an end this week.
The 46-year-old, who played over 500 games as a professional both here and north of the border in Scotland, spent six years at Silverlands, keeping the club in the top half of the Evo-Stik League Premier.
McIntosh led the club to the top of the table in October – their highest ever league placing – but has struggled to maintain that early-season form with injuries taking their toll.
