IN their first appearance in the FA Vase, Step 7 Cottesmore Amateurs defeated Step 6 Radford.
On a pitch soaked by pre-match rainstorm, Radford started faster, but Cottesmore grew into the game and a breakaway goal from Tom Pope from a cross from Tommy Atkins gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute.
Radford got the equaliser when Cottesmore failed to clear the ball on the edge of their area and the ever-dangerous Ryan Smith scored.
