TOWN LEAVE IT LATE TO PUT PAID TO BILLINGHAM

KNARESBOROUGH Town scored a late winner to end Billingham Synthonia’s involvement in this season’s FA Vase.
The away side threatened early on and Tom Orton was forced into a fine double save.
A one-two between Heath and Ben Parkes released the latter in the 19th minute but his poor touch allowed Synthonia to get back and see out the danger.
The Boro won a penalty on the half hour when Heath turned Nathan Cobain who pulled him down as he set up to shoot. Dan Thirkell coolly converted the penalty, putting his shot down the middle.
