Karl Baggaley has had a change of heart over Hallen’s unusual quandary with his underdogs one last bite away from having their day at Wembley.
The Armadillos have gallantly reached the last four of the Vase while fighting to stay in the Hellenic League Premier Division.
Baggaley admits he would have swapped the cup run for safety even as recently as the last-16 stage but having seen off Gornal Athletic and then fancied West Didsbury & Chorlton – a tie he acknowledges was a “smash and grab” – he has been won over.
