TERRIFIC TOM’S TREBLE TOPS FOR THE TOWN

WITH 32-goal top scorer Paul Turner missing, skipper Tom Ince stepped up to the plate with a superb display as Longridge Town claimed an FA Vase quarter-final spot.
In an outstanding first half display, Ince grabbed two goals – his first coming in the tenth minute as he rounded visiting keeper Joe Searson-Smithard to give his side an early grip on the tie.
The captain doubled his and Longridge’s tally when he took advantage of poor defending to slot home midway through the half.
