IT took a penalty shoot out to separate Abbey Hey and AFC Liverpool after visiting skipper James Howell missed his spot-kick in sudden death.
“Penalties are terrible way to go out of the competition but they are a great way to stay in,” said Hey boss Terry Hincks.
“I thought that we shaded it over the 90 minutes but once we went behind we have showed tremendous character to get ourselves back in it”.
