WESSEX League leaders AFC Stoneham edged this well-attended contest against their Western League opponents, progressing to the fifth round for the second season in a row.
The Purples – who have hit 61 goals in 20 leagues games this season and are six points clear at the top of the table – cruised into a two-goal lead early in the second half.
Hosts Barnstaple did pull one back after the visitors were reduced to ten men but where then a man short themselves when Brodie Montague was dismissed.
