After a gripping quarter-final stage, Hallen, AFC Stoneham, Cockfosters and Punjab United remain in the hunt to etch their names into Vase history.

Unlike the FA Trophy, the Vase semi-finals will be contested across two legs, adding another layer of drama as the finalists are decided.

Who is in the semi-finals?

Hallen’s remarkable run continues and the penalty kings will face AFC Stoneham for a place in the final.

The Armadillos saw off West Didsbury & Chorlton after rescuing the game deep into added time. Syd Camper scored a late goal before his side secured their third penalty shootout victory this season.

Meanwhile, the high-flying Purples cruised to a 3-0 win over Coventry United at the weekend to progress.

Both clubs are chasing a first-ever FA Vase triumph and know they are now within touching distance of a historic day at the national stadium.

In the other tie, Cockfosters take on Punjab United.

Gavin Kelsey’s side overcame Droylsden 4-2 on Saturday to book their place in the last four, while Punjab United needed a late winner from Jack Hopkins to edge past Downton – much to the delight of their elated chief, Chipie Sian.

With no former winners remaining in the competition, a brand new name will be engraved on the trophy this season.

What is the prize fund at this stage?

There is also a significant financial incentive on the line.

The winners of each semi-final tie will receive £5,500, while the losing sides will collect £1,725 from the competition prize fund.

Those sums can provide a substantial boost as clubs continue to manage tight budgets while chasing silverware.
