DESPITE being reduced to ten men, Romford completed the double over Bury Town thanks to Chinedu McKenzie’s 21st league goal of the season.
In the early stages it seemed that Bury would exploit the strong wind at their backs and Callum Chafer in the Romford goal saved well from Ollie Hughes and Josh Mayhew before Abdeen Abdul fired over.
Romford led on 56 minutes as Akwasi Marfo sent Abdul away and his cross was headed home by McKenzie, before Jonathan Abebayo saw red.
