■JAY May’s early penalty separated Hythe and South Park in a game of few chances.
May won the penalty in the 11th minute after being fouled by Jack Stafford and picked himself up to score.
In blustery conditions, there were few opportunities before the break with Chris Smith shooting over for South Park and May heading past the post for Hythe.
Smith then had two shots that went wide after the interval before May also dragged his effort off target. South Park threw men forward with Nathan Ayling’s 25-yarder saved by Joe Mant.
