BILLERICAY kept their hopes of a spot in the play-offs alive and moved to within two points of yesterday’s opponents Leiston. Billericay had the first effort at goal, Matty Johnson letting fly from fully 40 yards and Leiston keeper Ashlee Jones turning the ball aside.
And from the resultant corner, Jake Robinson perfectly timed his run to the far post and passed the ball into the back of the net on 13 minutes.
