BERWICK’S LATE MISS

LEWES 0
FAVERSHAM TN 0
By James Boyes
LEWES kept alive their hopes of filling the final play-off spot despite a goalless draw at home to Faversham Town.
Jonte Smith’s fourth-minute effort was ruled out for offside while Lewes goalkeeper Chris Winterton’s brave dive denied Liam King 13 minutes later.
Jack Dixon and Stephen Okoh threatened but Winterton’s fantastic double save from Stanford and Sam Berwick’s rebound kept the scores level.
The game’s best chance fell to Berwick in the 90th minute but he fired wide.
