LUKE JAMES made it two goals in two friendlies since returning to Hartlepool United.
The striker, on loan at Barrow from Forest Green last season, signed for Pools ten days ago and followed up his midweek strike against Shildon with the only goal against Spennymoor.
The opposition finished just outside the play-off places last season in National League North, but aim to go one better this term. They gave Pools a competitive test at the Brewery Field.
