EX-WORCESTER City striker Mike Taylor settled a chance-laden contest between Midlands rivals that each showed plenty of promise.
City started well and led nine minutes in when hot prospect Liam Lockett, the youngster recently placed on a contract by the Midland Football League outfit, threaded in Joe Bates to lash home a swinging drive from 20-plus yards.
The hosts stayed on the front foot and James Baldwin had a far-post effort cleared off the line by Lee Wilson three minutes before the break.
