EXACTLY 40 years on from Halifax’s memorable FA Cup victory over Manchester City, FC Halifax Town gave their fans another performance to remember with a commanding victory over Maidenhead United.
Eight of the original team that beat Manchester City were in attendance to see goals from Charlie Cooper, Jack Redshaw, Jamie Allen, Michael Duckworth and a deflected Devante Rodney effort gave the Shaymen a victory which was enough to propel them back into the play-off places.
