ALFRETON rounded off an impressive pre-season with a four goal rout of higher-league King’s Lynn Town.

The Reds took an early lead through Dayle Southall, who only recently left Kings Lynn, with an over-head kick from a Bobby Johnson free-kick.
Billy Heath’s men doubled their lead in the first half through Tom Allan. Summer signing Matt Rhead went down in the box, and as players from both sides seemingly paused awaiting the referee’s decision, Allan volleyed home at the back post.
