DARLINGTON scored three second half goals to get their pre-season campaign off to a winning start against Step 3 new boys Redcar Athletic.
The Steelmen got off to the worst possible start when Darlington scored just four minutes in after a corner was bundled home at the back post by Max Kilsby.
Andrei Ardealan had an effort cleared off the line two minutes later as Redcar responded, Quakers keeper Bobby Jones then saving well from Louis Johnson.
