YEOVIL TOWN secured their first home victory of pre-season as Stephen Walker’s early strike saw off Cardiff City U21s.
Town led inside two minutes when Brett McGavin found Stephen Walker, who fired in from 18 yards.
Yeovil manager Billy Rowley was pleased with the way his side dealt with Cardiff ’s energetic approach.
“We knew that they would get after us and press, so we’ve been working on ways to exploit that or get in behind them,” he said.
