SOLIHULL Moors were unable to build on a perfect start as they rounded off pre-season with defeat at the hands of their League Two visitors.
Just four minutes had gone on the clock when Cameron Green handed the hosts the lead – his long-range shot taking a deflection on its way past Cobblers keeper Zach Jeacock.
Tyler French went close to doubling Moors’ lead but his back-post header cleared the bar before Northampton threatened through summer signing Matty Warhurst, whose free-kick flew the wrong side of the upright....
