PENN RETURNS TO HEED

RUSS PENN has turned down a new deal at Wrexham to sign for Gateshead because he wants to get promotion.
The 31-year-old rejoins the Heed after a successful loan spell at the International Stadium last season. Neil Aspin wanted to make him his first summer signing and Penn will add know-how to the Heed midfield.
