Mellon’s men lost with grace and dignity

I’D like to praise the sporting attitude shown by the management and supporters of Tranmere Rovers both during and after the play-off final.
Despite finishing nine points above their opponents at the end of the season, Tranmere accepted defeat graciously and with dignity.
Manager Micky Mellon was impressively magnanimous when he said afterwards: “On the day, I totally believe the better team won.”
