Fenelon shines for Waddock’s boys

OPENING Shots were fired as the first day of the National League season had thrills and spills by the bucket load.
Aldershot Town beat FC Halifax 2-0 to get off to a flying start, but newcomers Leyton Orient got a rude awakening at Sutton United and sit bottom, while Dover put one over Hartlepool.
Elsewhere there were fine first day wins for Woking at home to Gateshead, Dagenham & Redbridge, who beat Barrow, and Macclesfield were marvellous at fancied Wrexham.
