MORPETH TOWN opened a fourpoint lead at the top of the division with a 3-2 win over second-placed West Auckland Town.
Joe Walton’s sixth-minute opener and Sean Taylor’s header and close range finish put the home side in control, while Nathan Fisher grabbed a brace for West.
Ben Pollock’s header and Scott Heslop’s brace made it seven wins in a- row for Dunston UTS as they beat winless Billingham Synthonia 3-0.
