KELLY’S THE HERO!

NEWPORT Isle of Wight have turned to former Millwall and Charlton player Mike Kelly to save the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division club from relegation.
Kelly and his assistant Andrew Rimmer will take over the struggling side on an interim basis until the end of the season.
They replace Andy Simpson, who parted company with the club two months ago, after Newport lost to local rivals Cowes Sports.
Since then, team affairs have been handled by goalkeeper Gary Streeter and midfielder Darren Powell.
