CHAIRMAN Richard Bennett says Gateshead would be ‘crazy’ not to ensure manager Steve Watson stays at the International Arena next season.
Watson replaced former Heed boss Neil Aspin in September, penning a deal until the end of the season.
And the former Newcastle United and Aston Villa star enjoyed a successful rookie season as boss, leading the club to the second round of the FA Cup and semi-final of the FA Trophy, where they were beaten by fellow National League side Bromley.
