SERGIO’S A HIT ON THE BIG SCREEN

A FILM detailing the life of Eastbourne Borough’s Argentinian midfielder Sergio Torres has premiered this week. The project was crowdfunded in February 2018 and produced independently by Jasper Spanjaart, the film’s writer and director. The Unknown Torres tells the story of when the 22-year-old quit his job in a brick-factory in rural Argentina to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer with a one-way ticket to England.
