MATTY PLATT’S goal proved the difference between the sides in this mid-table encounter. With neither side in play-off contention or at risk of relegation, a scrappy first half was devoid of any real chances of note for either side. However, the second period was much improved. It was Hereford who created two great chances in as many minutes at the start of the half when first James Waite headed into Dan Hanford’s arms and seconds later Tom Owen-Evans should have done better when through on goal.
