Salford are no Mancs, let us be clear here

HAVING read the report from Maidstone versus Salford City (NLP, April 7), I immediately turned to the league table to confirm that Salford had indeed been credited with the well-deserved three points and that they hadn’t been “sent up to Manchester” as stated in the article.
The ‘Class of 92’ played at the Theatre of Dreams in Manchester, but all hail from Salford [Beckham was actually born in Leytonstone, and the Neville’s are from Bury – Ed], an entirely different place. I felt it was important to point this out to everyone south of Watford.
