Gus goal Sows the seeds of a victory

MERSTHAM gave their play-off hopes a huge boost with a narrow win which left Whitehawk on the brink of the drop zone.
The Moatsiders started in style with Gus Sow netting a brilliant curling effort past debutant Hawks keeper James Broadbent from 18 yards.
The visitors had plenty of chances to extend their lead as they dominated the hosts with Simon Cooper and Kenny Beaney having good opportunities, but were unable to extend their lead before half-time.
After the break, Whitehawk looked a totally different side as they took the game to their opponents.
