MATT Benson (Fans Forum, NLP May 5) has answered his own question.
The need to get play-offs over and done with is because, as he pointed out himself, the players are part-time.
Many have other commitments outside of football and once the season is finished some will have other commitments or some may play cricket in the summer months.
