PORT STORM CITADEL AND LEAVE CELTS RED-FACED

FARSLEY CELTIC crashed out of the FA Cup after being handed an embarrassing defeat by Southport in front of their home fans at the Citadel.
After an even opening fifteen minutes, the match sprung into life after 18 minutes when Ben Atkinson put the ball into the back of his own net to give Southport the lead.
The rest of the opening half was end to end with both sides having their chances.
The visitors failed to make their dominance in the air pay off, whilst Farsley were reduced to half chances as the half finished with the visiting Sandgrounders...
