JACK DICKSON is planning on making an FA Cup splash with Poole Town this season – but fi rst the Dolphins must overcome their nearly-men tag.
It’s 36 years since the Dorset club last reached the fi rst round of the FA Cup having fallen at the fourth qualifying round fi ve times since, including a 2010 loss to Saturday’s opponents, Hayes & Yeading United.
Hayes were a Conference Premier outfi t then whereas Poole were on their way to a third successive Wessex Premier title.
