KEIREN’S ON BOARD

REPUBLIC of Ireland and
Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood has joined the board of Cheadle Town.
Local lad Westwood played for Mossley at 16 before he was spotted by Carlisle United and went on to play for Coventry, Sunderland and Wednesday, making 21 appearances for his country.
Now he has joined the board of the North West Counties League Division One South side in a bid to help fulfill chairman Craig Brennan’s dream of taking the club up to the National League.
