Mini leagues will help fill the void

I WOULD like to add my suggestion to those of the Blyth Spartans vice-chairman Kevin Scott (NLP, April 19) about geographical splits for clubs to survive.
I suggest, for one season only, the Step 3 Northern, Southern, and Isthmian Leagues be made up of 12 clubs, thus generating more local derbies and less travelling time and expenses.
Some people may find it boring playing opponents four times a season but in the current crisis, careful consideration is needed.
